INTRODUCTION: Born from the vision of creating a musical distinct from the Broadway style, Elisabeth premiered in Vienna in 1992, featuring a book and lyrics by Michael Kunze and music by Sylvester Levay. Following its monumental success, it has become a landmark of Viennese musical theater, performed across the globe. In Japan, the Takarazuka Revue first staged the production in 1996, followed by the Toho production in 2000. Since its Korean premiere in 2012, the musical has enjoyed explosive popularity, consistently returning to the stage as a beloved masterpiece.
