The story of another possible version of Marie Curie that “might have been.”
A faction musical that blends fact and fiction will make its Japan premiere!

This original musical premiered in Korea in 2018
and swept five awards, including the Grand Prize, at the 2021 Korean Musical Awards.

Set in 19th-century Europe, when science was a man’s domain,
the story portrays Marie Curie’s passion, struggles,
and unwavering conviction as a researcher who discovered radium
and pioneered the path for female scientists.
Interweaving historical fact and fiction, it tells the tale of another Marie Curie that “could have existed.”

This much-talked-about “Fact × Fiction = Faction Musical”
will be staged for the first time in Japan,
directed by Hiromi Suzuki, who has worked across a wide range of genres including small and large theaters, straight plays, and musicals.
