- INTRODUCTION
- Based on the novel The Man Who Laughs, which Victor Hugo—the literary giant behind Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame—called his own personal masterpiece. The musical made its world premiere in South Korea in 2018, brought to life by a world-class creative team including Robert Johanson （Book/Direction）, Jack Murphy （Lyrics）, and Broadway hitmaker Frank Wildhorn（Music）. The production was also staged in Japan in 2019 and 2022, garnering significant acclaim for its delicate human drama and grand, sweeping score.
