INTRODUCTION: Based on Shusaku Endo’s novel Marie Antoinette, this musical had its world premiere in Tokyo in 2006, created by the powerhouse duo Michael Kunze (Book & Lyrics) and Sylvester Levay (Music & Arrangements). Since then, the production has undergone significant script and character enhancements, with Robert Johanson directing the newly reimagined Korean production. The highlights include a complex and dense human drama centered around the royal court, gorgeous costumes, and a dynamic stage design that effectively utilizes a revolving stage to bring the story to life.
